These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all bookings and travel services provided by IrelandHeritages. By
making a booking with us or using our Day Card packages and tours, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Please read them carefully before booking or travelling with us.
1.1 Confirmation of Booking
● All bookings must be made through our official website or authorized partners. A confirmation email will
be sent once your booking is completed.
● Payment terms will be specified at the time of booking. Full payment may be required before the start of
your tour.
● Once full payment is received, you will be allocated your chosen package (including any Day Card tour)
and a booking confirmation will be emailed to you.
● This confirmation is your proof of booking and forms part of your contract with us.
● You should print and/or save a copy of this confirmation for your own records.
1.2 Acceptance of Terms
● By commencing your Day Card tour or any package with IrelandHeritages, you are deemed to have
accepted and agreed to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
1.3 Email Delivery & Accuracy
● All internet bookings will be confirmed by email.
● We accept no responsibility for incorrect email addresses provided by you or for failure of email delivery
systems.
● If your confirmation email does not arrive, or you do not receive it within a reasonable time, it is your
responsibility to contact us and request that the confirmation be resent.
1.4 Unpaid Reservations
● We reserve the right to sell any package that has been reserved but not fully paid for (or where the
required deposit has not been received) without further notice.
1.5 Checking Your Details
● It is the visitor’s responsibility to carefully check all details on the confirmation and travel documents
(including dates, times, passenger names, and route) upon receipt.
● Any errors must be notified to us as soon as possible. We cannot accept liability for incorrect details that
were not brought to our attention in good time.
● Changes to Bookings: If you need to make changes to your booking, please contact us as soon as
possible. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.
1.6 Late Online Bookings
● Any internet bookings made after 9:30 pm for travel on the following morning cannot be guaranteed
by IrelandHeritages.
● In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your booking, but alternative
arrangements, changes or cancellations may be necessary.
2.1 No Insurance Included
● Travel insurance is not included in the price of any IrelandHeritages package or Day Card.
2.2 Strong Recommendation to Purchase Insurance
● We strongly recommend that all visitors take out comprehensive travel insurance before travelling.
● Your insurance should ideally cover, at a minimum:
○ Trip cancellation or curtailment
○ Medical expenses and emergency assistance
○ Personal accident
○ Loss or damage to personal baggage and money
○ Personal liability
2.3 Condition of Participation
● You may not be accepted as an IrelandHeritages visitor if you cannot demonstrate that you have
arranged satisfactory travel insurance. Proof of insurance may be requested.
2.4 Activities Outside the Package
● We take no responsibility for any injuries, losses or damages incurred while you are taking part in any
optional or third-party activities that are not included in our all-inclusive package or Day Card
offerings.
● Any such activities are undertaken entirely at your own risk and are subject to the terms and conditions
of the relevant third-party provider.
2.5 Personal Belongings
● We accept no responsibility for theft, loss or damage to your personal belongings at any time during
your visit or tour or at any stops and accommodations.
3.1 Standard Cancellation Terms
● If you wish to cancel your package or Day Card, you must notify us as soon as possible.
3.2 Refunds
● Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time:
○ Eligible for a full refund of the package price paid.
● Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time:
○ No refund will be given; however, your package may be transferred to another Day Card
package or date, subject to availability and any applicable fare differences.
3.3 How to Cancel
● Cancellations must be made through our official channels (e.g. email or booking system) as specified on
our website.
● The effective date and time of cancellation will be when we receive your notice, not when it is sent
4.1 Itinerary Changes
● We reserve the right to change our typical itineraries at any time and at our sole discretion.
● As professionals, we will always endeavour to avoid changes where possible and, if they are necessary,
to substitute alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value and overall experience.
4.2 Events Outside Our Control
● We may alter or cancel parts of the itinerary in the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable
control, including but not limited to:
○ Contagious disease outbreaks (epidemics, pandemics)
○ Natural disasters
○ Revolution, war, or terrorist activity
○ National or local strikes or protests
○ Political unrest, social disorder, or changes in local regulations
○ Closure or restricted access to heritage sites and attractions
● In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative arrangements, but we cannot
guarantee access to all attractions listed.
4.3 Enhancements to Your Experience
● We are constantly striving to improve our Day Card packages and tours.
● If additional attractions or heritage sites become available and we believe they will enhance your
experience, we reserve the right to include them in your itinerary in your best interests, without
additional cost where reasonably possible.
4.4 Price Changes
● We reserve the right to decrease the price of our packages at any time.
● Promotional or reduced pricing after you have booked does not entitle you to a refund of the difference.
4.5 Brochures and Information
● We reserve the right to launch amended brochures, itineraries, and online information at any time.
● Every effort is made to ensure accuracy at the time of publication, but changes can occur as a result of
unforeseen circumstances.
4.6 Cancellation by Us for Insufficient Numbers
● We reserve the right to cancel any package if we have insufficient numbers to operate a tour.
● In such cases, you will be offered:
○ A full refund, or
○ The option to transfer your booking to another available date or package (subject to
availability).
5.1 Compliance with Laws and Customs
● You must obey the laws of:
○ The Republic of Ireland
○ The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
○ The European Union (where applicable)
● You are also expected to respect local customs, cultural norms, and foreign exchange regulations while
travelling on our routes.
5.2 Respectful Behaviour
● We ask that all passengers show respect to the diverse communities, residents and fellow travellers
encountered during the tour.
● If you fail to comply with local laws, or if your behaviour is disruptive, offensive or unsafe, your ticket
may be cancelled without refund.
5.3 Authority of Our Representatives
● Your appointed IrelandHeritages Guide or representative may need to make decisions in the interests of
safety, comfort, and general well-being of the group.
● It is a condition of booking that you comply with the authority and decisions of our Guides and
representatives.
● If, in their reasonable opinion, your behaviour is incompatible with the general enjoyment, safety or
well-being of the group, we reserve the right to:
○ Refuse to allow you to continue the tour, and/or
○ Cancel your ticket without any refund or compensation.
● In such a case, we will not be liable for any additional costs incurred by you (e.g. accommodation,
transport).
5.4 Punctuality and Meeting Points
● It is your responsibility to ensure that you meet your tour at the designated departure points and times.
● Because of the nature of our service, IrelandHeritages will not be liable if any service leaves or arrives
later than its specified time, even if as a result you miss a connecting service or other arrangements.
5.5 Behaviour of Other Passengers
● We cannot accept liability for the behaviour or actions of other passengers on your tour, nor for any
facilities being curtailed as a result of their actions.
6.1 Medical Conditions
● You must inform us in writing of any medical condition, disability, or other health issue that may require
medication, special attention, or accommodation before your tour commences.
● We reserve the right to refuse participation if we believe your health or safety (or that of others) may be
at risk.
6.2 Travel Documents and Legal Requirements
● It is your responsibility to ensure you have all the necessary:
○ Passports
○ Visas
○ Permits and certificates
○ Vaccinations and health documentation
● You must comply with all applicable immigration, customs and health regulations.
● We accept no responsibility if you are unable to travel or complete the tour due to incomplete or
incorrect documentation.
6.3 Photography and Filming
● During your visit, IrelandHeritages Guides may take photographs and/or film of you as part of a group
of passengers.
● These images may be used in our brochures, websites, social media, and other advertising or publicity
materials.
● By travelling with us, you consent to the use of such images for promotional purposes without further
consent or payment.
● If you do not wish to appear in such images, please inform your Guide at the start of your tour, and
reasonable efforts will be made to respect your preference.
6.4 Damage and Loss
● When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you to property,
vehicles, accommodation, heritage sites, or third-party facilities.
● Full payment for any such damage or loss must be made immediately and directly to the owner,
manager or supplier concerned.
● If you fail to do so, you will be responsible for meeting any claims (including legal costs) subsequently
made against us as a result of your actions.
6.5 Respect for Local Residents
● You are obliged to respect the rights and privacy of residents living near any stops, accommodations, or
attractions visited during the tour.
● Excessive noise or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
7.1 Raising an Issue During the Tour
● If you have a complaint during your tour, you should inform your Tour Guide or IrelandHeritages
representative as soon as possible. Many issues can be resolved immediately if we are made aware of
them.
7.2 Post-Tour Complaints
● If a problem is not resolved to your satisfaction during the tour and you wish to make a formal complaint,
please contact us in writing (e.g. email) as soon as reasonably possible after the tour, and no later than
30 days after the end of your tour.
7.3 Time Limit
● IrelandHeritages will not consider any claims or complaints received more than 30 days after the tour
has ended.
7.4 Handling of Complaints
● All complaints will be handled with respect, courtesy and a genuine desire to resolve the matter fairly
8.1 Definition
● “Force majeure” refers to any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control that prevents us or
our suppliers from performing our obligations, even after all reasonable measures have been taken.
8.2 Examples of Force Majeure
● Force majeure events may include (but are not limited to):
○ War, revolution or civil unrest
○ Terrorist acts or threats
○ Closure of borders or significant travel restrictions
○ Epidemics, pandemics, or serious health risks
○ Natural catastrophes (e.g. floods, earthquakes, storms)
○ Government actions, strikes, or labour disputes
○ Any other events that seriously affect travel or operations
8.3 Consequences
● We will not be liable for any changes, cancellations, effects on your booking, loss, damage, or failure to
perform (or improper performance of) any of our obligations which are due to force majeure.
● Where possible, we will endeavour to offer alternative arrangements or credits, but we are not obliged to
provide refunds in such circumstances unless required by applicable law
9.1 No Responsibility for Weather
● We have no control over weather conditions and cannot be held responsible for any impact they may
have on your tour or experience.
9.2 No Cancellations Due to Weather by You
● No ticket or package can be cancelled or amended by you on the basis of weather conditions alone.
● Normal cancellation terms (see Section 3) will apply.
9.3 Operational Adjustments Due to Weather
● We may, at our discretion, modify routes, timings or activities for safety reasons due to adverse weather.
● Such modifications do not entitle you to a refund, provided we still deliver a substantial part of the
services booked.
● Smoking (including e-cigarettes and vaping devices) is not permitted on any heritage sites.
● Failure to comply may result in you being asked to leave a vehicle, a site and/or being refused further
service, without refund.
11.1 Entire Agreement
● These Booking Conditions and Terms constitute the entire contract between you and IrelandHeritages.
● No representation, term, warranty or condition not expressly set out in these Terms shall be binding
unless agreed in writing by a duly authorised officer of Island Heritages.
11.2 Governing Law and Jurisdiction
● This contract and all matters arising out of it are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
● We both agree that any dispute, claim or other matter which arises out of or in connection with this
contract or your holiday will be dealt with exclusively by the Courts of the Republic of Ireland.
11.3 Changes to These Terms
● Changes to these Booking Conditions will only be valid if agreed in writing by IrelandHeritages.
● We reserve the right to update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your
booking will apply to your contract.
11.4 Accuracy of Information
● Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of our brochures, website, and other printed or digital
materials at the time of publication.
● However, IrelandHeritages cannot be held responsible for printing or typographical errors, or for
changes in itinerary or services due to unforeseen circumstances after materials have been published.
11.5 Severability
● If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will
continue to be valid and enforceable
12.1 Heritage Sites and Third-Party Providers
● Many of the heritage sites, attractions, accommodations and activities you may visit are operated by
independent third-party providers.
● While we select partners with care, we do not own or control these sites and facilities and are not
responsible for their acts or omissions.
12.2 Condition and Access to Sites
● Access to heritage sites and attractions may be affected by local conditions, conservation work, capacity
limits, weather, health and safety measures, or unforeseen closures.
● We will endeavour to inform you of significant changes where reasonably possible, but we cannot
guarantee access to every site as originally described.
12.3 Limitation of Liability
● To the fullest extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising out of or in
connection with your booking or travel with us shall be limited to the amount you have paid to
IrelandHeritages for the relevant package or service.
● We are not liable for:
○ Indirect or consequential losses (such as loss of enjoyment, loss of opportunity, or loss of
income);
○ Any loss, damage or expense arising from events or circumstances beyond our reasonable
control, including those described in Section 8 (Force Majeure).
